We think the default option in Outlook XP's Advanced Find dialogue should be to search in "Frequently-used text fields", rather than just "subject field only." It's much easier to find lost messages if you're searching the entire e-mail. Granted, it takes half a second to change the selection, but we have people that have trouble using these high-level options (sarcasm there).

Anyone know how to change the default for the "In" field?

TIA

Well all I can think of is to setup a search with the fields the was you want them and then save the search. Then when they want to use the search function they can click on the *.OSS file icon (i.e. save the search to the desktop or to the quickbar) to open the search with the fields already set.

But that seems like such a hassle for someone that would find clicking on a pull down menu a challenge.

Cheers
