    Proliant 1600 Boot order

when doing a system erase, you can remove the cable from your SCSI cage and you wont lose your array config, or its data. Then, after you are prompted to powercycle your system, reconnect the cable. the drives will teach thier config to your controller, and you should then be able to boot from a...

Proliant 5500 Firmware will not upgrade?

there was no PII300 version of the 5500. There was a common bios of the 66Mhz FSB, and a different one for the 100Mhz FSB 3000/5500, which is what you may be thinking of.

    ML370 G1 - Which SmartStart For Windows 2003 ?

Renne ... SS 5.50 will not do 2003. It will do 2000. Just use 5.50 and do a manual integrated installation. At the end, put in your 2003 media and install. When you are done, just run the PSP 7.10 for 2k3 and you are at about the same place you would have been if 5.50 did 2k3. Cheers, - LC

    Proliant 2500 upgrade

There is also a very, very rare PII/333 upgrade kit for that machine. It replaces most of the guts of that box so you can have slot 1 processors in it. But, for practical purposes, the PII-OD is a great choice. As already posted, 333Mhz, but with 512K FULL SPEED L2 cache ... runs like a...

    A few Q's about my 5600's

Hey everyone, I have a couple questions about a couple 5600's I picked up cheap. I bought some things, used some stuff I had onhand, and made 2 perfectly identical servers (GSX Hosts). Now, im no stranger to Netfinity servers, but I am stumped on a couple issues: Basic Config: Bios: 17 1.5GB...
