Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else has done this. We've recently de-commissioned an old ProLiant 6500 in December that was running Windows 2000. I'd like to use this machine as a sandbox / test server for my group, as it has 4 Pentium Pro 200Mhz cpu's, 4GB of RAM and plenty of disk space. The problem I'm having is that windows 2003 only sees one processor.
I've followed the Windows 2000 articles from Microsoft thinking that they should be similar with 2003. I've Verified that the HAL is running the 'MPS Multiprocessor PC' version, but it still only recognizes one cpu.
Any thoughts? I'd like to run 2003 on this guy. When this server had Windows 2000 on it all 4 CPU's were present.
