You could use an MCK extender in VOIP mode to extend that port to where you want to go verso.com and look at the extender 4000. Thats the only way I could think of doing that.
If you turn on DCS+ there is a feature called IDS that you put on the second page of the signaling group. I've never done it over Ip trunks before but I assume it would work just as if it were ISDN. Its not that hard to set up at all.
Is it just one S8300/G700? I'm trying to figure out if you're crossing over the IP trunk or between gateways when you try to establish these calls. Could you let me know if you are. We need to make sure you're running 2.1.1 and configure the codec sets properly to get the modem over IP calls to...
You may want to ask the bp if the G3si system can handle media gateways because I don't think that it can. You have to migrate to an S8xxx solution from Avaya in order to do that. If you do get an S8700 or S8500 you can like the previous posts say use the benefits of a well managed IP network...
There's lots of things you can check. The front port of that G700 has to be locked down to 100MB FD. Also if these are IP phones you should put the media gateway in its own net region back on the S8700 (if this is an lsp) and use the IP network map screen to make sure the dial tone the people at...
You can do a campon busyout trunk group/member on each individual channel and take each one out of service gracefully. The previous suggestion of removing them from existing route patterns is a good one too. The G3 will not route a call to you're out of service trunk if it has a backup in its...
What do you have for a layout? I'm curious if you're grabbing a trunk from the same port network you are in?
If you have an S8500 and it is set up as an IP connect lets say, it will matter where you place you're call from in regards to troubleshooting this one.
Auto/Auto tells you how the signaling bits behave. wink wink means the pbx waits for a wink before sending digits.
Auto/auto means that the signaling information will be exchanged reguardless of whether or not a wink was exchanged between the pbx and the network. In my opinion the wink wink...
I agree with all of the previous posts. But if you have you're data extension in the switch already and still can not see the physical address, you may have a packet bus issue. Run the command "test pkt po 1" to see if you have any failures and look them up in the appropriate maintenance docs.
I agree with all the other posts, your stations will work fine. But remove them and add them as single connect stations because they save you on available ports. Before in 9.2 you need dual connect, ie 2 stations to make an IP station work. When you go to S8700 you only need one station to make...
Can you have someone just a script to get into the switch and pull the data? Provision is an automated tool to capture data. I don't what the costs are but it works great. It will capture whatever you want. Also If you want to know if you are in an S8700 or not type "go shell". If you drop to a...
If you statically address the ipsi jaymzter is right you should see IP on the display. If it is a TN2312BP make sure your speed and duplex settings are set to 100 full on the ehternet port. The TN2312bp is more sensitive than the AP to those kind of settings.
Not sure about that particular device. If can reduce the delay on the packets then yes. You need to be able to control the qos but thats almost impossible from the house or remote site using a vpn device. Just ask if I can help further.
Depending on you're version of the pbx you just take an existing station and on the first page of the change station form make ip softphone a yes. You also need a security code this is also found on the change station form at the top. It can be anything you want. You also need a working clan...
Try testing it out with IP softphone. When you login look at the audio options part of the program when you have an active call. You have way too much delay with a vpn connection and the signaling is lagged to and from the clan card (if thats what you're using). If you can login to the PBX and...
As always you should make sure all of your firware is up to date per http://support.avaya.com thats always the best place to start. If you run one of these S8300's in non lsp mode does it work properly, dialtone is ok and calls can go out local co lines too. Only think I can think of is you have...
When the pbx users have the echo you want to use inward and when people outside the pbx hear the echo you want to use outward. The default setting is 1 which ads 6db of loss onto you're calls. I use 4 because it works just as well bud doesn't add any loss.
If you add the qsig-dcs gateway link between the g3si and the nortel it will give the ability to signal back to the other g3si's because it will do the conversions to qsig for you when you call from the other switches. DCS is an avaya proprietary protocol that is very feature rich and has some...
If you're G3si can run release 6 software it can run 7 and 8 also. It should just be a flashcard update. Not until you get to release 9 where you add the tn2404 and the tn2400/2401 sandwich card.
