I really appreciate the reply, and the suggestions!
The reasons you give for using the keyset to program are valid for all other Electras I have encountered. This site is a perfect illustration of a site where SAT would help, I am sure you have encountered one of these. Another dealer (who no...
I have a customer who really wants me to help him with his Electra Elite. My version of SAT is too old to program this system. I noticed there haven't been any threads on the subject in a couple years - story of my life, we get all the cheap customers with old phone systems. Recommendations in...
I found a station with ESS restriction on, and turned it off from the console with FTR 760. Now the console is stuck in hotel ESS supervisory mode (no DSS lights), and FTR 32+Drop doesn't work! Please help!
I terminate Partners and Legends using a homemade 25 pair terminated with RJ45 mod ends, wires cut to exact length. One 25 pair per card (the few pairs left over are cut off). Zip tie 25 pairs so there is stress relief. I don't like the customer yanking/kinking/pulling on loose 2 pairs which...
Don't use the MIC input, use the line-level input. If the amp does not have a line-level input it should be replaced with one that does. Or you can purchase a mic-to-line level PAD.
The cabinets need to re-sync. You must turn the systems off, unplug all amphenols and RJ-11s, turn back on (at the same time), then you can immediately plug everything back in. In about 1-2 mins the cabinets will work fine.
Oh, and go buy a UPS.
The Panasoic is incapable of producing a fast-busy. It theoretically could cause one with a PRI/T-1 that is programmed incorrectly, or busy. Does this system use only copper POTS lines, or is there a T-1?
If you call a busy line does it sound normal, or fast? If busy signals sound normal, and...
The reason the 2nd cabinet did not come back up is because it needs to already be on when the first cabinet turns on. It sounds like the power supply in the first cabinet in both upstateny's and photon's cases. Try swapping the one in the first cabinet with the one in the second. You should get...
Disconnect times are timers in the PBX and there are 2 different types.
1. Time after hearing disconnect signal that the system actually releases the call
2. Minimum length of a disconnect signal before the system acknoledges it actually is a disconnect signal
Many providers don't provide a...
The fields should not be blank. Message waiting on is 701X message off is 700X. Enter these and it'll work. There has always been this bug. Half the time I do a quick setup, the message on/off sequence is blank. Like cwc3 said, doing the quick setup again will also fix the issue.
How far away is the 2nd site? If within a few miles you can talk the provider into getting a dry pair between offices (tell them its for alarm, then the monthly charge is nominal). You can then get a set of H-DSL modems (one configured as a provider, the other a subscriber). You can expect t-1...
Version 1 has a shameful, unreliable voicemail integration. Also, I have had trouble using the laptop to program that version. Also missing are: Night button (instead program 2 buttons with 781/780), phantoms dont work, no T-1 ability. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. There is...
Serial settings must match. I'm not sure about the D500, but if it's the same as the smaller models, its 9600 baud, Even parity, 7 data bits, and 1 stop bit. Also try 19200 baud.
also, wouldn't the expansion card be responsible for ports 3+4 while the original voicemail is only a 2 port system?"
Correct. Also it increases the number of mailboxes from 10 to 20. So removing the PC expansion card will delete 10 mailboxes! I would inform the customer of this.
I have had...
