Added an xtra 1232 and have a card in it. Had 8 CO's but expanded that to 12CO's today. Added the CO's and they are working fine BUT... Phone extension above 132 goto the new lines automatically but the the lower extension still will goto on the first 8 CO's when 9 is pressed for an outside line. Hope this makes sence..

can the extensions call each other cabinert to cabinet ?

The cabinets need to re-sync. You must turn the systems off, unplug all amphenols and RJ-11s, turn back on (at the same time), then you can immediately plug everything back in. In about 1-2 mins the cabinets will work fine.

Oh, and go buy a UPS.

Yes, the extensions can call eachother. Have UPS, learned the hard way on that and will try what you stated.

In a twin cabinet configuration, a set will always choose a line in its own cabinet over free ones in the other. The only way to fix this would be to put the co lines in the master cabinet in one group (TRG1 for example) and put all the trunks in the slave cabinet into TRG2. Then go into program 103 and set the outbound CO group selection sequence to '12'

This will force sets in the slave cabinet to choose lines in tht master first, and then the slave.

This is a simplistic trunk group set up, but the point is clear. You could make a more elaborate one if you have other groups that require individual selection.

Have fun.
