every time i call from a land line the call is answered by the voicemail and when i dial 1 the voice mail says transferring to the operator and works fine but when people call in via cell phones they often if not always get disconnected. and ideas as to how to fix this problem.

sounds stange

you could try taking the disconnect sequence out of the voicemail options just in the off chance that dtmf strings are being missent. you know where you have dial 1 for operator, by default the * (i think!) key is disconnect the call, try changing it to call the operator.

is this an older tvs 100?I had major problems @ one point
with talkoff on the 100 @ one point!like it turned out
that a persons voice could indeed produce a touchtone
1 and I think the C.O. was sending digits also!

FYI the TVS 100 has not been produced for a few years. It is impossible that you bought a new one a year ago.

Bit late now, but there was a problem in Aus with the VPS's disconnecting when a mobile called in. It was due to the background noise produced by the mobile network which the VPS thought was continuous tone...and the VPS would disconnect the line after 10 seconds of continuous tone. There was a firmware release to fix this problem...just had to upload it and change a hidden setting....maybe that would help...
