Every once and awhile one of the lines will remain occupied after the call hangs up. I am receiving CPC. This will only happen occassionaly but it kills any calls coming in because the line is in a hunt group. I have already replaced the system and wrote a new program but it keeps occuring. The MPR has been upgraded to a 1.1 on the TDA100 but didnt help.
Thanks for your help or ideas in advance.

what does panasonic tech support have to say about your
problem?

Is there an auto attendant assigned to that line? and have you checked the lines off as loop unguarded, disconnect times etc?

I have spent many hours on line with panasonic. They have downloaded some files and are going to send them to Japan to be analyzed. At this time are they dont know what is causing this.
norstarteky - There is an auto attendant assined to the lines but when the problem existed the only line card showing it was in use was the CO card all other cards were idle. What do you mean by loop unguarded and disconnect time?

Disconnect times are timers in the PBX and there are 2 different types.
1. Time after hearing disconnect signal that the system actually releases the call
2. Minimum length of a disconnect signal before the system acknoledges it actually is a disconnect signal

Many providers don't provide a positive loop-drop disconnect signal unless you specify that you need it. It is a brief open in the circuit. It is that short period of "deadness" you hear when someone hangs up on you (not to say people hang up on you all the

Hehe just kidding. Easy to test. Hook a buttset to the line and call yourself, then hangup. You should hear a click, then brief deadness, then another click as voltage is restored.
