This is an experiment I was doing at my office prior to selling this (thank God), I set up a partner ACS with a Partner Messaging in my office. I have a LAN with internet access, that is it, everything is hosted through 1and1.com for outgoing emails. I tried to set up email notification and it...
yes their is. From the main screen look in Options (I Think). In their their is a field called "Inter-Digit". When you touch Inter-digit it asks you for which one of 9 timers (1-9). Select 9. Default is set to 5 seconds. The system waits 5 seconds before determining that you are done...
I have never done anything like this before but would something like this work? Since you are unlocking a door via a contact closure, can that contact closure be used to light a light for the duration that it is closed? Some kind of visual indicator to the customer that something has been...
he is correct, when a user first sets up a voicemail box he must record his name. If he doesn't record a greeting or records a greeting but doesn't activate it the system will play the "name stamp" than insert the systems default greeting by "audix annie". If they have recorded a greeting it...
I have not used gmail before but I have had success in the past with hosted solutions. Just as a few suggestions try this.
1.) From the VMail Pro PC, go to the DOS prompt and type the command - ping smtp.gmail.com - if it fails that is a smoking gun. If it passes it will give you the IP...
Here is my experience on that. If you have analog 1FB's, I believe you should always have name & number. I have always received it, make sure you set the line type as "loopstart ICLID". The PRI world is alittle different. If you take out a Merlin Magix and put in an IP Office, a Merlin can...
One thing that you could do is to determine where the fault resides. From the intercom of any extension dial 771, lets take the voicemail out of the loop for a minute. Maybe the problem is in the voicemail, maybe it is in the Partner ACS. If it works from the extension, maybe the problem is...
I have a customer that just upgraded two IP412's, one IP403, and one IP406 to 3.2(54). It just started happening after the upgrade. They are networked together without using SCN because of there size. I am anxious to here what everyone has to say about this.
tlpeter;
If I read the documentation correctly from the internet, the IP401, IP403, and the IP406V1 aren't going to be support in the 4.0 platform. I downloaded the bulletin lastnight, and noticed that the 46XX phones wouldn't be supported, as well as those models of IP Office. Has...
When I am upgrading units from a really old release to a really new release, all I do is read the folders in the manager folder. Don't worry about the documentation because all the information is right there. Let's say that you are at release 2.0(??) in an IP-403. Go to the manager folder in...
This practice does work because it pulls the appropriate BIN file from your manager folder on your PC. The down side is that it will erase all information on your IP Office. I only do this when my system has crashed and I need to recover it. It shouldn't be that time consuming to copy and...
Here is a few things to check;
1.) Call ICM-20, does it cover to voicemail?
2.) When you call Line 3+4, does it ring, #321 counts the rings physically on the phone before letting it cover.
3.) If you installed the system, did you do a system erase on the PBX to eliminate any corruption? If...
I agree with both of them. My salesmen gave me a formula one day that I can use to sell PRI's to customers. If you have somewhere around 11-13 lines in hunt, that is around the same cost as a PRI. These people can have roughly two PRI's for the cost of there 1FB's, redundancy on there main...
I have never done it, but have you ever went into centralized programming and tried to see if you can program a button in a single line phone? It sounds crazy, and I have never tried it, but if you go into centralized programming on an MLX-10D phone, you notice that you have about 28 buttons to...
I have done this once. In the town that I used to live, they installed a large fiber ring around the whole city. One of my customers has two R7V14 Legends networked together using this fiber. The provider was able to emulate a Point-to-Point between these two buildings using there equipment...
Renumber one of your calling groups to 3553 (Assuming that you are getting 4 digits from your provider). Make it an auto-logout type of calling group. They will have to login to the group via an ES1 or an ES2 button. I can't remember off hand which one is login, and which one is Aux Work...
The incoming routing is going to be on them, the Merlin is just the receiver of the call. Just as an experiment, after work, try to unplug the primary PRI, than call the main number and see if it truly comes over the 2nd PRI. That is one way you can force a busy condition and test the incoming...
What you can do is to test each trunk individually by changing all there outgoing trunk group numbers in the line field except for one. Put your butt set on the line and monitor the call. when you dial 9 and the outside line, it will wait around 4-5 seconds to determine that you are done, and...
AvayaU is where I got some of my certifications. The IP Office is not all that bad, it is a different animal from other PBX's you may be used to. When you changed ports, did you make a change in the "Extension" field? if you want to move stations without moving jumpers, the "Extension" field...
The default password for Administrator is "Administrator". "password" was the old default to the PBX, 3.2 is a different animal. I always just copy and paste the word "Administrator" from the user to the password field. It works great. Good Luck
