I recently picked up a G430 with a S8300D, when I connect through to the service port *crossover* and hit 192.11.13.6, I'm prompted for a user. Now from what I can tell the pass defaults should be root/root, however that doesnt work, and I try ggdaseuaimhrke and that doesn't work...

when the IPO starts doing weird shit like this, I just reboot the damn thing, if you can't reboot from manager (because merge is bugged) try rebooting from SSA or web manager, or you can just angrily pull that power cord, tell it off, and then turn it on.

you're connection is defaulting to the current uplink, it's an IP route issue, not an Avaya issue. You might encounter the similar problem connecting your phone to a dial-in VPN, then you realize your DNS and public access to the net is down.

SBCE runs off avaya's centos right? cat etc/ntp.conf ? to make changes use vi etc/ntp.conf
Also, was this happening before the r11 update? To be fair, time shifts cause all kinds of issues, like in windows, DNS wont work.
Never ran an SBCE so I really have no experience, I wouldnt think it...
if they dont want to spend money to upgrade, maybe getting them to 9.0.12 is a good idea, there was a decent amount of bug fixes by then, dont know if it fixes the SIP handling but it might. Maybe someone else can chime in.
