If you want a dual controller option within you server drive cage, you have to make sure that the server supports the duplex drive cage option. This basically means that the SCSI backplane is divided into two parts for two controllers to connect to. If this is the case with the ML350 then you...
Those systems have hotpluggable harddrives, so you should be able to insert the harddrives in the remaining slots on the server, and run the Array Configuration Utility once done to add the disks to the logical drive.
Thank you asanchez4 and jad, since the last time I posted this question someone had suggested the use of a .forward file. And you are right about the .forward file placed in the /home/<user> directory.
All I had to do was to go to each individual user's home directory and create a .forward...
Hi everyone, I am currently running Sendmail 8.12 on a SUN system. Our company was just bought so we are going to me making a move from the POP server to an Exchange server for emails. I wanted to place a .forward file on the SUN system to forward emails going to the old addresses. When I...
Thank you very much, that is very helpful. I had done some research and found out that I can place a .forward file on the server running sendmail to forward emails to the new exchange server. So I will suggest both Ideas to the group.
Thank you.
My company was incorporated recently, and the issue is with email forwarding. We are based on a Sun System using Pop3 and sendmail. The second company has Exchange 2003 running on their domain. These are two different domains. I wanted to know what I need to configure within the Pop3 server...
Look at the side panel illustraton on your server and it will give an indication of what the red light means. Depending on the location of the LEDs, different errors are prompted. Riffy is very right about the processor heatsink issue, but double check the error LED and see what is...
Try sticking the drives in an external storage works enclosure, something like a SW4214. It holds upto 12 drives and will help later on when and if you decide to get more harddrives. Other than that option there really is nothing you can do because the DL360 G2 is only limited to two harddrives.
If you are using PC anywhere, uninstall it and update the compaq supportpaq and update the video driver. Then reboot and install PCanywhere.
If you are not using PC anywhere, then just update the video driver.
By the way what machine are you using?
Hi Harrad,
In a hotplug cage the SCSI IDs are determined by the SCSI backplane on the storage enclosure, so you're not going to be able to change the SCSI IDs. This isn't true for the really old light beige colored harddrives.
The new beige(scsi2/3) and the black(ultra2/3) drives are inside a...
I can't recall right now, but I think the 4200 controller supports extension of a logical drive. If that holds true then add your drive and in the ACU(Array Configuration Utility) you will see a new physical disk. Add that to the existing array, expansion will start automatically, after which...
Brian These are your steps:
Im hoping you have a raid controller that supports extension, If you don't know call the support line and find out.
Here goes:
1. Install the new drives one by one and let each drive rebuild.
2. Once the new drives are all incorporated you will see a yellow icon in...
sentmemail-- your'e talking about software raid. You cannot use any microsoft utility or OS to create a compaq hardware raid.
First you have to make sure you are using an array controller. If you cannot figure that out, go to this link...
The SCSI port on the back of the server is SCSI port 1, and inside the server has a SCSI port 1 and 2. If you are you cannot use the scsi port 1 inside and use the external port at the same time, because you create double termination. You can only attach to the internal port 2 and the external...
Update your storage agents to 4.70 which can be downloaded as SP12971 and you will be OK.
The status results you are getting is the tape drive going in and out of the available status which is a problem with the storage agents you are running.
Try the upgrade on the storage agents and tell me...
The BIOS on these Old Proliant systems is on the BIOS chip but the partition youre talking about is called the SCU (system configuration utility), which resides on the first 39 MB of the harddrives. That is what you access when you press F10 at POST. This SCU is installed on the server during...

Yes Joel you need to make changes to your kernel. Go to the FAQ Section for this Forum and look for my article about the Windows 2000 dual processor upgrade.
