My company was incorporated recently, and the issue is with email forwarding. We are based on a Sun System using Pop3 and sendmail. The second company has Exchange 2003 running on their domain. These are two different domains. I wanted to know what I need to configure within the Pop3 server to forward all emails to the Exchange account. So If someone emails Joe@domain1.com, their email would be forwarded to Joe@domain2.com, and Joe can retrieve their email from the Exchange server.

Any help is appreciated, I just don't want to take any risks.

Thank you.

You can try a program called popcon ( I had my company's email hosted by an outside company and I needed to migrate it to my new 2003 exchange server in house. During the transition I used a program called popcon ( was installed on my 2003 server and would goto the ouside email server and download all the users email and send it to the users email box on the new server. Then the users could go to the new email account and would have all there mail.

Thank you very much, that is very helpful. I had done some research and found out that I can place a .forward file on the server running sendmail to forward emails to the new exchange server. So I will suggest both Ideas to the group.

Thank you.
