64 bit and 32 bit ODBC drivers are not the same and cannot be used interchangeably. Perhaps your Excel AND your ODBC drivers are both 64 bit along with your workstation. Then, of course, everything works just fine.
If however, your Crystal installation is 32 bit, then the 64 bit ODBC...
CJ,
You probably set up a data source using the 64 bit ODBC setup. You need to try the 32 bit ODBC setup instead as 32 bit programs cannot "see" the 64 bit connections.
Go to Windows > SysWOW64 and use odbcad32.exe that you will find there.

You don't mention what version of Windows that you are using and I think that this is a Windows function rather than being controlled by Excel.
In Windows 7 Pro, right clicking on the taskbar and looking at the "Taskbar And Startmenu Properties" reveals that there is a setting called "Taskbar...
Murugs,
Close but no cigar. Most people use a conversion factor of 1000 for convenience, but the actual factor is 1024.
8 Bits = 1 Byte
1 Kilobyte = 1,024 Bytes
1 Megabyte = 1,048,576 Bytes
1 Gigabyte = 1,073,741,824 Bytes
1 Terabyte = 1,099,511,627,776 Bytes

Donna Lee,
Is it possible that your accounting system is using the original report and not your modified report so this wouldn't be a Crystal issue at all? Some systems that I support need to have user access granted to modified reports prior to having them show up when invoking reporting...
Sam,
According to Microsoft, the PST file size limit in Outlook 2010 and 2013 is preconfigured at 50 GB. See this support article: Link
You can either work within this limit or it can be changed by making a registry change in Windows. I never recommend making this kind of change without prior...
Techseek,
Yes.
We do this with selected clients Dynamics GP accounting databases whenever we have extensive reporting or cleanup work to do for them.

Am I missing something here? Why are you selecting landscape as the orientation?
If your "standard"/custom orientation is 6 wide by 3 high then isn't that the "portrait" view? Of course, then when you change to landscape, it turns everything 90 degrees and the 3 side becomes the top. Think...
Lorelee,
Is your example for Canadian or US payroll? I suspect that they are quite different in their setup. I have never used US payroll, but have experience with the Canadian module.
In any case, you might be able to tell where the funds went by reviewing the payroll posting journals from...
Mandy,
Have you tried the suggestion in this MS article?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968773 When Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 is running in Cached mode, users do not see some new e-mail messages.

According to Elevate Software, the producer of this system, there is an ODBC driver available for external access to the data.

You don't mention which version of Dynamics GP that you have.
The Microsoft recommended system requirements for Dynamics GP 2010 are for a 1GB Ethernet card in all machines. They don"t specifically mention the rest of the network infrastructure. Can you run it on less? Yes and depending on your...
Jim,
On the actual machine, try changing the DPI setting for the display. It seems like Microsoft hides that setting in a different place for each version of Windows. If this setting is other than normal it tends to cause labels on buttons to be misaligned or not fit totally. Normal is 96...
I would suggest that this is not a suitable question to pose in a Crystal Reports forum.
Rather, you should be looking for someone who knows their way around a Peachtree database to answer just where and how certain data elements are stored.
If you then run into problems in configuring the...
Meg,
You are really doing this with Dynamics GP?
What parts of the accounting system? What report writer? Maybe just wrong forum?

Sheldon,
It almost sounds like your users do not have permissions to access the database. Are you using Mixed Authentication or Windows Authentication for access.

The Express Editions of MS SQL Server install by default with the ability to accept remote connections turned off. Sounds like this is what you are running into.
