Is this a functionality that is no longer available? When I open several Excel files, they each open a separate instance of Excel. I'd like them "stacked" to conserve Taskbar space.

Does anyone know which setting this is, if it is one? Thanks!

You don't mention what version of Windows that you are using and I think that this is a Windows function rather than being controlled by Excel.

In Windows 7 Pro, right clicking on the taskbar and looking at the "Taskbar And Startmenu Properties" reveals that there is a setting called "Taskbar Buttons". Mine is set to "Always Combine, Hide Labels" and my system seems to operate the way that you require.
