there is no reason to call the Idle Appearance first - the FNE should work from your cell, but to activate EC500 direct from your desk - you can either dial the Feature Code ( page 2 of change feature) or press the ec500 button on the phone.

nope - you'd be using h.323 instead of SIP - hopefully the attached works.

you can only manually set one IP address. When the phone register, it should get it's MGC from the Communication manager (depending upon how you have it set up, you can set this in the ip-network-region (page 2)

I believe the MediaPack supports h.323 as well, you should be able to configure a port on the MP as a FXS and H.323 .

if you have ASA, run a report and save it as a .txt file, than open the report in excel. At this point you can do a sort on the column for CPN

Have the off-pbx config set to PBX on Calling Number Style than, this way the internal extension is sent to the EC500 cell phone.

Do you want the ec500 user to see her own extension? Don't think that is possible, the PBX sends the format of the calling party either as network or PBX (where internal extension calling the ec500 will send their extension number) . I generally turn on confirmed answer, this way when you...
with the Park and Page, you don't use the Park button, you simple use the Call Park and Page - press this and the system will provide the 1xx number you can call from any phone to retrieve the call.

Tried this a couple years ago to see if anyone had this issue, but no luck - figure I'd circle back as I'm cleaning up the PBX a little.
I have an extension in my PBX assigned as a "button-press-extension" In the past, In pre 5.1, this was programmed via the "off-pbx FNE" section, but since...
as Kyle mentioned - add the vlantest=60 to the end of the scope, and it will reset to the native vlan and grab the new voice vlan.

easier now IMO - dial 3-digit code (or what ever you decide) and you unpark it - don't need the button on all phones, or hunt for where someone's park button is, and can be picked up from a analog the same as deskphone.

Never liked the Call Parking in the IPO, until this release - Been converting all my sites to use the "Call Park and Page" feature, as I don't have to worry about slots - just set a range and let the system assign the slot. and the unparking is easier as well.

MattKnight is right, you need to tell your phone that it's proper vlan is 210 , so on next reboot it will go to vlan 210 and get the full string, the phone doesn't need to know anything about the datavlan.

Change the data DHCP scope to the following:
DATA VLAN
176
HTTPSRVR=x.x.208.15,L2Q=1,L2QVLAN=208,VLANTEST=60
242
HTTPSRVR=x.x.208.15,L2Q=,L2QVLAN=208,VLANTEST=60
The 46xx phones should use the 176 scope, not the 172 .
Removing the MCPIPAdd makes sure the phone won't register with with a...
That didn't work - What I'm looking to do is trace the call from when it hits my PBX and than gets routed off-site -
i.e phone number 555.1212 called in , entered vector and select state PA, which routed caller to suboption of 4 choices, caller selected option 3 and is transferred off-net...
