When Nortel developed it's first switch (they were the first to develop a digital switch) they had two types of phones. An analog "500" set and a hybrid (analog voice/digital signalling) "SL1" or (stored logic) set. Hense the software programs reflect those sets. LD 10 is TYPE 500 and LD 11...

Restricing calls by Time of Day

If you have BARS set up on your switch you can set your RLI's with a TODS to prevent calls from going out before 8am. I am assuming you want to prevent calls from going out.

Assistance in identifying machine on TTY ports

TTY 0 is the system monitor used by the PBX to monitor itself and give you messages. TTY 2 / 3 goes direct to each core. Your monitor should go to an A/B box so you can use one monitor for two cores. There are a total of 16 devices (ports) for tty's. One being used by the system monitor, 2...

    Conf/TDS Card and NET Card

Each card slot represents 2 loops. When you respond to XCT with an even loop number (2) it automatically assigns the even loop number to the TDS and the next highest odd number (3) to the conference. You can skip the mfsd part.

    M3505 PHONE install

The easiest thing to do is unplug one phone and plug in the other and see if it works. Seriously, if you just replace an acd 3905 of one release with a 3905 of another release you should have no problems.

How do I activate call forward remotely?

The feature "Remote call forward" requires that you have DISA (direct inward system access), in order for you to access it from an outside line. The rest of it is easy, but DISA allows the very good possible of hacking and is rarely used and not reccommended.

Meridian Option 81 - How to restrict inbound calls to extension

I agree with John, you can make this set have a DN that's not part of the DID range or a 5 digit number, but unfortuneatly it does allow in house calls to dial that number. Is that what you want?

Meridian Option 81 - How to restrict inbound calls to extension

Lets get some more information here. Are you restricting all calls coming inbound to this set, outbound calls are for in house only, external, to a single route only?? You can accomplish some of what you want by making the set a hotline set, but need more info.
