Just bought a laptop with Vista on it then realized most of Nortel's stuff does not recognize Vista. There are some exceptions but not many and all dealing with the 400's, not the BCM 50s.
It is real easy to wire up. Depending on whether it is a 2 port or 4 port Flash,cross-connect one or two extentions to a jack(s), plug in one or two line cords, plug in the power, wait 5 minutes and you're ready to program.
Sounds like a stuck button to me. Hold down release button, run your fingers over the rest of the buttons. This usually releases stuck buttons. If one button does not release, the function of that button will be the only you can do, or you might just no function at all because your phone will be...
You also could make the one DID private to an ext.instead of being public. This would remove that DID number from all phones in the system except for that one ext.
Create a m/b for one extension, not the line, make FNA go to v/m.If nobody answers, it goes to the one m/b. Then when the people want to access the m/b, they call in, get transferred to that m/b, then do **,m/b#, p/w and the # button all in one sequence and they can retrieve all the messages and...
Hey cdaumann, One thing I noticed in list of parameters was that you had a decending sequence. For incoming it should be acending, out going is decending. I had a Paetec T1 that was sending the first call in on channel 24, then 23, 22, etc. since the Northstar automatically starts outgoing on 23...
Similar odd problems occur on all the Nortel v/m's from time to time. I would first make sure the m/b and the ext. number are the same, then I would delete the m/b (after all the messages were taken out) and then rebuild the m/b, making sure the m/b and ext. are the same number. I would bet this...
Maybe you need to explain what disconnect supervision is to the Verizon person taking the call. Here, in NY, I have had to explain what it is almost all the time. If they don't understand what you sre talking about when mentioning disconnect supervision, it makes it hard to get it checked by...
Haven't done this in awhile, but you need the latest version of Remote Utilities loaded on a laptop. You could probably go to the Nortel site to get this software, then connect it to you KSU and follow directions.
On each ext., under the capabilities heading, you can turn off/on the ability to hear the page and the ability to do a page. If you don't want the page to be heard on a certain phone, just make the page zone 0.
