Greetings
Is there a way to back up programming on a MICS 3.0? If so what is the procedure? I've found how to do it for my NAM but not the MICS.
Thanks for the input.

Haven't done this in awhile, but you need the latest version of Remote Utilities loaded on a laptop. You could probably go to the Nortel site to get this software, then connect it to you KSU and follow directions.

The easiest way I know of is using the NRU (Nortel Remote Utils) and a RAD. Connect the rad do the system, then the laptop using a db9 cable to the rad via a com port, use port 3 or 4 only, the others are not supported bu NRU.

Then launch the application called "Backup and Restore Tool". In the "connect type" field, enter "direct", set the baud rate to 9600. Make sure you've programmed the same password in the NRU as in the RAD (F9*4).

The rest is fairly easy and you should be able to figure it out on your own.

Good luck

the newest version of NRU is 11 and it is retroactive I believe it works with software as old as 1.0.
