Looks to me like adobe bob should be on the top teck list.
I go through the answers and print out anything that looks like I might be able to learn from. I have found several answers from him that were very good.

I use 6.5 IBm compatable, and in the upper part of your screen in pagemaker you have a adobe photo sign (eye) when you click on that it brings up photo program. scan pic in there, clean it up,then name and save with tiff ext. go to the top in I think it is edit choose select all and then copy...
I upgraded from aldus pagemaker 4.0 to adobe pagemaker 6.5 so you do not have to have a more current version. I did have to load aldus when I upgraded and it did require the aldus numbers
You do have to save to a c file and then copy to a from there.

I am now using xp pro with pagemaker 6.5 and it seems ok so far.
My system does not crash. I also have a gig of RAM
I use tif and I always copy, from adobe, and paste.
my xp pro was a new install not upgrade.
good luck

I agree with vio8lin. When I bring a copy and paste tiff into pagemaker 6.5 It is quite poor quality. When I print it out it is fine.If you want to make sure of it's quality print out the one page only and you can verify our answers
I have used both win 98 and xp pro with pagemaker 6.5
good...
Hey Greg 25,
Thanks for the input but I am IBM compatible.
I guess I am surprised as a lot of inexpensive programs have that feature.
Maybe next version.
Thanks again for the time and effort

Hey Ikonpro,
Thanks for the information. I can now stop looking for a font catalog. Maybe they will see our disapointment and put one in a future version.
Have a great day.

from tiffie,

Regarding the typing of t o c before or after the book.
Thank you so much for the answer. I appreciate the time and effort to assure me on this matter. 300 pages is a lot to do over if I was wrong. Again thanks a million

No one seems to know!
In my old aldus pagemaker it looks like the book comes first and then you can add the t o c.
Hope this helps some one else thats new to pagemaker plus 6.5 Tiffie
The manuals both have conflicting statements. Do I make the t o c before or after I type the book? I am concerned if I type the book 1st and then I find out thats not what they want I may have to retype it. Looking forward to hearing from someone smarter than I am. THANKS
Hello,
In fixing up old computer for great grandchild I get this message. Has the hard drive crashed or do I have a bad connection. Maybe cables to old?
Any help appreciated.
