How are they tying into the server? Best solution and easiest fix for that would be OWA but you did hit the right setting with the "allow anyone to relay...authenticicate" question is are they authenticicating somehow to the server, or simply trying to send an smtp message through your server.:)
Set it up on the OWA server, you need to encrypt that session because the HTTP passwords are sent unencrypted. SMTP is an open protocol (anyone can read your emails) so it doesnt matter if you put a cert on there unless you want to use TLS or SSL but then you wont be able to email anyone because...
Do you have the headers for the message that you got? That "Unable to relay" may be coming from another SMTP server that is hosting that domain. Where was this MX record created and is it a network that is exposed to the internet or is it a private network?
Hello I understand that you can do this manually, but I was wondering if there is some sort of script or GPO template that I can install and use in order to obtain this functionality.
I have people on XP machines, and I want to be able to connect to them from my 2003 server via remote...

priv1.edb, priv1.stm
Those are the two files. Are they added together to get the 16 gig limit or not? If not then how did I hit the 16 gig limit when both are 8 gigs?
I dont have the server in front of me, but the sfh file and the .mdb file (I think) basically the two files for the exchange store.
Are they counted together or separatly? Both were at 8 gigs, and my server locked up because I have the standard and not enterprise edition.
Now I was told that...

It is still happening. The AVF doesnt open the attachment (email attachment) to scan inside of it, it only scans that message itself and then lets it pass.:(
If it is feasable for you, you may want to disconnect the server from the internet and see if the SPAM is still coming in, it could be right on your own box.
You got antivirus software installed on your exchange box?
You can either check it at your exchange server or via outlook. Outlook is...
Also it could be a spammer that has infected your machine. I saw a thread on one that attacks the guest account and stuff. What kind of antivirus software(s) do you have loaded on your exchange server?
Exchange is a PITA isnt it?:)
You have the latest security patches applied? And you make sure that the guest account etc.etc. are disabled, no weak passwords etc.
Sounds like a security issue. Anyone else have access to the server?
