I have a case open with Citrix now where customer’s servers are (were) getting RPC errors. Support recommended removing R02 due to “Issues” that other customers were having with RPC Errors, BSOD’s, and other problems.
I cannot say that you issues are being caused by the R02, but it may be...
Pgaliardo,
I have one customer that still has a WinFrame server on-line but it cannot be part of their farm. The only reason they have it is due to a custom application that does not seam to run anywhere else.
If the only reason you want to bring the WinFrame server into the farm is to...
I actually have the same issue, but with Outlook 2003. I am looking to see if any other process is keeping it open, but no luck yet.

Thanks for the reply.
The Q article is for Exchange 2000 are you sure that Exchange 2003 Enterprise with Windows Server 2003 Enterprise is the same situation? I can not find anything on Microsoft’s site that references the issue on 2003.
Thanks,
Justyn

I just got off the phone with Microsoft Support and my brain hurt from the 3+ hour conversation. According to Microsoft, the first Exchange 2003 server “Can not be a clustered server.” I have had clustered servers running Exchange 2003 before, but I have not one up as the first server in the...
It will work through a terminal session as log as the terminal has a serial port that you can map. you may neet to map it via a script and then start the desktop manaager to do the sync'ing. That is what some of our people with terminals at home do.

As long as you are using the Serial cradle for it, it will work. You can not use the USB version of the cradle.

If you don’t want a printer to auto create go into the CMC, expand the Printer Management Node on the left, select the drivers sub-node, and then right the drivers sub-node and select “Compatibility” from the menu.
Add the print driver that you do not want loaded (like a fax driver) into the...

Are you using an Access database for the Data Store or SQL (MS, Oracle, or DB2)?
If you have lost access to the Data Store then the server(s) will stop accepting connections after 96 hours of the loss since the licenses won’t be available.

Matt,
At the present time you can not “map” USB ports from a Citrix session. If the client can map it to a drive letter then drive mapping would work from the client and you could write to the device.
Since I don’t know what type of terminals you are on (make, model, embedded OS) I don’t know...
I have been working with Citrix since the WinView (OS2 based) days. While there are issues that can come up, if you work with a knowledgeable consulting company deployments should go smoothly.
I my self have done hundreds of installs all around the country, other engineers at the company I...
The exchange server is set to forward Internet E-Mail to the old relay server (or the new one now) and some of the UNIX systems using sendmail are putting the full internet address (john.doe@xyz.com).

Ok People,
Here is question on Terminal Services restrictions. There are two OU’s, one OU holds servers with Terminal Services enabled for a specific purpose, and the other OU holds accounts. They want to be able to restrict access to Terminal Services to some of the servers in the first OU...
I have had this issue at a customer’s site. This is usually caused by a time difference on the servers, so you may need to change the SNTP host from the default of time.microsoft.net to time.nist.gov. The quick fix is to tell the server to allow the updates even if there is a problem.
To do...
Ok guys,
I have a weird on that I can not solve, so I am posting it here since the current environment is 5.5. We are going to be upgrading a customer to Exchange 2003 shortly; however, their current mail relay server is an Exchange 5.5 talking to an Exchange 5.5 server on the backend. The...
I would first check to see if that logon is being used for any automatic operations like anti-virus updates. Sometimes a user account is used that will start failing once the password is changed and then it will lock out the account due to excessive attempts.

This can be done through the registry on the server. In short you will need to add a registry key (AutoAdminLogon). The instructions are in the Microsoft article at:

Unfortunately you will have to call Microsoft to get this, however, the “Usually” don’t charge for the call. I am not with Microsoft so I can not guaranty that they will not charge you. I have other customers who have called to get it and were not charged.
BTW, there is an updated fix for the...
