It is because the user extension is still logged in to the deleted phone.
so Log the user out of the phone
delete the extension number from the base extension
save the config
open the config
create the new base extension or number the digital port.
you should be able to log the user in

You need to speak to your Avaya cam or distributor, as you don't have any sites registered in plds who has the right to download 11.1. they can blanket add this to your sold to as your a BP.

I know it isn't supported but I wonder if anyone could share their experience of upgrading to V11 with the original IP Dect still in place,
does it still work? are there any problems I should be aware of?

I really struggled to get Openldap to work, use a windows server and create a Contacts leaf in AD, if that isn't workable I have a script that emulates an IP office for http directory PM me and I can email it you.

Yes it does get rejected, but the ip office handles this by showing waiting for line I was just wondering if there wasn't option to show a more descriptive message than this.
