I'm looking for a way to change stations without rebooting in an Avaya IP Office. I have a need to change Digital stations to VoIP from time to time and the reverse. VoIP to Digital. Is there a way without rebooting system?

It is because the user extension is still logged in to the deleted phone.

so Log the user out of the phone
delete the extension number from the base extension
save the config
open the config
create the new base extension or number the digital port.
you should be able to log the user in

It is called Hot desking. If you create a password under User/Telephony/Supervisor Settings. You create a Hot Desk User. They can move from phone to phone without a reboot. *36 to log out of the phone. *35*(ext)#. Version dependent, it will need the password set in the tab described above. Give it a try... Let me know and I can give more support.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*
*(Disclaimer for all advise given)--'Version Dependent'
