OK, I found the answer myself.

"Memory for 12.2(13)T and beyond
System memory (DRAM): 64MB
Flash memory: One SIMM slot supporting 16MB"
Is 2620 flash is compatible with the VG 200?
One of my clients seems to think that the VG 200 will take a 16 Meg flash with recent IOS releases but I can't find anything showing that it supports more than 8.
Any confirmation? If it does, which IOS versions would be required to support more than 8?
Thanks,
FredUG
It's not the best plan I've ever heard but if you can live with the longer recovery times then it's acceptable. It *is* your data after all. I'd suggest 5 disks to rotate daily and keeping a month-end disk for a year as well as a year-end disk. That'd be 18 disks per year. (5+12+1) Also remember...
A NAS device *could* be used for backup but I wouldn't do it that way. You just backup to file ON the NAS device and remove a HDD to take off site like you would a tape. A Fastora 208 would give you 8 IDE drives to swap out as you wish. There are other backup to disk devices out there that may...
The Fastora NAS unit is FreeBSD based. While it doesn't have a built in tape drive, some of them have an optional SCSI port so you could attach the tape drive of your choice and move it around if need be.

1) Solaris *IS* the name of the OS that runs on Sun hardware. Sharing depends on how it's set up. Samba, for example will let you map folders, just as you do within windows, but not all "Windows Enterprise applications" like shared drives much so that would depend on the exact app.

Tapes should be rotated out of use long before a year. Tape rotation is somewhat dependant on how and what you backup but I'd never use a daily tape for a year. Maybe a monthly tape but not a daily or even a weekly...
The SSC keps claiming it found a virus (W32.HLLW.Lovgate.G@mm) at C:\System Volume Information\_restore{4617D869-6DFF-4342-BE3F-6D5D37A05BC1}\RP54\ on one of the workstations, however, System Restore is off and there are no such dirs. Any ideas?
TIA,

I've seen machines infected before they can even download the updates from MS so when you're done, you may want to run Ad-Aware (freeware) and The Cleaner (shareware demo) as well as running a virus scan.
Good luck,

"I was just thinking of adding a second route to 0.0.0.0 out the other Internet connection with a higher metric."
Mattwray:
That wont help him (or you) with hosted services like web/ftp/dns/smtp/etc. You'll be able to get out to browse and such but that's about it. For example...
There are a few ways to do it, some are quite expensive and the others may not work for you.
Multi-links from different ISPs: With the right router (Cisco 3660, with a lot of memory, or better) using BGP you can use 2 different ISP's and if either link is down the traffic flows through the...
