Is it a network-capable one? Did you run any 'securing' tool on it? (the P3015N's we use here have a security wizard which can, if selected, turn off USB ports and suchlike)
Otherwise it sounds like the formatter board has had it. Does Windows actually detect it when it is plugged in?
Hi there!
I take it that when you set the group to deny, you also set the rest of the read permissions? Otherwise they will not have permissions to read the directory in the first place.

The auto-finding of the KMS server is done through Active Directory. I can't remember off the top of my head what the entry should be but a quick google should bring it up. If you have more than one KMS server you also have to manually enter that into AD.
Can't say I've done this with 2008, but...
Thanks for the quick reply!
We still want to be able to answer the calls to that extension. The 5215 handset is going to be retired once this setup has been made so setting the phone to always re-route isnt really an option I'm afraid.
Thanks
Steve
Hi All!
I have two phones (one 5215 and one 5212) Both currently have voicemail boxes and seperate extensions.
The user of the 5215 is leaving us so the management want their phone to appear as a button on the 5212 along with their voicemail.
I can create the line key which shows when it is...
On our Win 2003 DHCP we had to add the option 130 (IP Phone DHCP Server) with the value of MITEL IP PHONE
The value must be in upercase.
May or may not work for you.

You may have the Real-time SMDR options enabled. In the web admin go to System Administration > System Options > SMDR Assignment and check if SMDR Real Time Reporting is set.
Not sure if that is the problem but it cant hurt to check :)
I know this thread is old and apologies for bringing it back.
I was looking for a free call logging system a while back (we are a high school with very limited funds) so in the end I set about writing my own.
If anyone would like to try it, its available at www.stevenbaxter.co.uk (no its not...
Thanks for the replies!
Just being able to get the two extension numbers onto one handset seems to have satisfied what the user wants, they've now decided against forwarding to mobile (thank goodness!!)
Much appreciated, its friendly knowledgable people like yourselves that keep me comming...
Hi all!
Hopefully someone can help me with this (or even just let me know if it is possible!)
I have a user that has an internal extension (1062) This is mapped to a 5215 handset with voicemail. The extension is not accessable from the outside world so they have requested a DDI number (1162)...
I would have thought this depends on what voicemail system your running. Also what switch version?
Will this be a regular thing or is it just a whenever its needed?
I tried finding something like this a while ago but couldnt so in the end I wrote my own.
Essentially it is a simple telnet program that gathers the data into a MySQL database. Then at night a second program runs that converts the line put in from the first program into something useful.
I have...
We seem to have fixed the problem by changing the fax machine for an older Canon that a supplier had. I changed all the settings back to match the other fax we have onsite and we still have the issue with the Samsung.
Unfortunatly for now, we're just going to buy a different fax machine for...
Incoming faxes do work on both machines. Also yes I have remebered to enter the outside line digit (9).
The fax machine dials the number and bleeps twice (once then a delay then again) but then sits there saying send until it times out.
Thanks for the reply!
This might be me being really stupid but I can only change the language on the fax, not any regional settings. The only options it gives me are:
English (set)
German
French
Italian
Spanish
Portuguese
Dutch
Unfortunatly I have thrown the manual away a while ago so if it does have an additional...
