Hi guys,
Does anyone know if it's possible to permit a certain amount of connections from a certain IP to a specific port of a target ip on the Cisco 837?
Reason I'm asking is that I want to be able to restrict each person on the internal network to make 1 connection to giganews (NNTP) because...
Found the fix.
e2k SP3 hadn't installed properly and the store.exe version was inconsistant to the store version.
re sp'd and all working..

Hi,
I have the following error pop up when I go to Server Properties -> Monitoring tab of a new e2k (esp3,wsp3) server within a 5.5 org:
An Error occured during a call to Windows Management Instrumentation
IDNo: 80041001
Exchange System Manager
I've never seen this before and cant find any...
I have recently found that if you have 3 or more interfaces on a 515 pix running 6.2 where the interfaces have security set to around 0, 10, 100. If you apply limits to one or two of the interfaces but not the other, when the imposed limits are reached then the unit will reset to the value in...
An example is below, the scenario i would use it is with SecureCRT (www.vandyke.com). I would adjust the delays to your situation after testing...
failover.scr:
label loop
sendcr no failover active
delay 5 sec
sendcr reload
delay 60 sec
goto loop
Hope that helps,
Cheers, Andy

Try alternating the configuration of the two interfaces on the pix within the running-config, this will narrow it down to a config or hardware issue.
I have seen hundreds of problems esculating to hardware issues within the interfaces on the 515s. There are known caveats relating to certain...
It will be on after ICS or QOS modifications to the Network Interface in question.
I would use a group policy to set this.

alt.binaries.cbts is a good place to look on the newsgroups, however most of the stuff isnt legal so if youre concerned about that i would give it a miss.

Hi,
I have seen this with 6.2 of PIXos, to rectify I upgraded to 6.3 even though Cisco claim that there are no differences with the two.
If this doesnt resolve your problem, I would submit a case to cisco tac. A workaround is a quick script that calls the "no failover active" command...
Bad luck unfortuantly, the PIX doesn't support DNS resolution for "security reasons". A way around this which I use is to setup a DNS Server on the internal network to the 515 and then map the domain traffic to it..
Hope that helps,
Cheers, Andy

The tids below should help you. However, I have seen this with "leaky" device drivers. I would ensure all are stable and certified to work correctly with Win 2000 sp(whatever you are running). Another cause of this is physical ram failure.

As deftonesman said... It sounds like a port negotiation problem with the nics on the machines and/or the hub/switch.

I had a similar problem, the issue ended up being ipsec. A reconfig of the ports sections cured this. I then created an exact config on the same box after a clear reload and the problem didnt arise.
A trace found to be the configurations from w2k were wrecked with the upgrade.
Hope that...
- Install a license server either on the box that you are running terminal services or somewhere that is contactable from the ts (add/remove->windows components->terminal services licensing).
- Go into the console of the license server and Active it via Microsoft (they will take the generate...
a resolution to this might be to re-register the dllhost application within the server.
a workaround would be a batch script. utilise perfmon to trap the correct factors and then use the kill.exe from the 2k resource kit to kill the pid in question.
a better workaround would be...
Hi,
Apart from scripting is there anyway that the RRAS service can be set to bring up the demand-dial connection apon Windows startup?
Cheers, Andy
