Hi all,

I keep getting the following error recorded in my System Event Log and this morning it crashed the Active Directory Service.

The error message is:-

"The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty."

If anyone can tell me the cause and a solution, I would be most greatful. :)

Cheers,

Barry

Further to my original post, I have been looking at the Microsoft KB.

I have updated to Win2K Server SP3 as advised by articale 289209 in order to resolve the above error (event ID 2019).

It would seem however, that this has not solved the problem as the error returned again about 10 days later.

The only cure I can find is to re-start the server, but this is not the best answer as this is happening every 10 days.

If anyone is able to suggest any ideas to help resolve this, I would be most greatful.

Cheers,

Barry

The tids below should help you. However, I have seen this with "leaky" device drivers. I would ensure all are stable and certified to work correctly with Win 2000 sp(whatever you are running). Another cause of this is physical ram failure.
