An even greater challenge is the software that's installed on it. Since I'm not familiar with yours, I won't venture a guess on its versatility for possible implementation in a non-pizza setting.
However, the hardware of course has value. If indeed the system was *never* put into production...
I am a database novice and can't get datetime usage right. There is a stored procedure named ms_purgeolddata that when I enter
exec ms_purgeolddata null
it works fine and will delete all past data. What I need to find out is how to delete data prior to a certain time, like midnight on...
I am a beginner using VB and have written a simple project in VB6 that sends instructions to a commercial kitchen printer. The user pushes buttons on a touch-enabled screen. It does most of what I need it to do, but I need help with two things:

Dinerware is making a strong charge into the market. It's very robust and reliable as well as affordable plus it's easy to use yet offers lots of reports. I know a few dealers that offer Dinerware. Where are you located? I could put you in touch with one.
That's hard-coded. It cannot be changed except by Iberetch/Aloha/Radiant and I have never known them to honor such a request. This "dead spot" situation is not uncommon in B-grade resistive touch screens, and switching to capacitive ones probably will cost more than replacing the touch head...
Ugh. Sounds like he might have legacy SW that needs more power and/or memory than the machine(s) offer. Either of these almost certainly will cause more headaches and dissatisfaction. And if you do get it to work right, there'll be no guarantees that it will play nicely as the DBs increase in...
Ditto to Servmatic... BTW, what's running across it? Is it something that now needs (or will need) GB capability? If you invest in the cable, do the same for the jacks, etc. The cost should not be a consideration if you've already planned to run 6.
You get what you pay for... investing in a quality system eventually will yield its return in more captured revenue. Stay away from cheap systems that seem too good to be true. Aloha, Dinerware and possibly Digital Dining are about the only ones that are worth considering anymore. Remember to...
Why would you want to "zero out" item totals, or anything else for that matter, unless you don't want point-of-sale recording? One of the primary purposes of data capture is to *purposely* record that sort of thing. Ditto on Bospruell's comment re: "X" vs. "Z"... if you don't want a trail, get...
Steve -
[A] pathing, or [B]? And what's going across, just reg. data or additional streams? For eg., it might make a difference if it were set up as a [B] config for POS and it was being doubly used (ugh) for voice.
I'm not trained in SQL, and won't be taking classes 'til later this year but need to get data from a SQL file into an Excel file. (1) How does one do this? (2) How can I determine the table names using Excel? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
We're looking at that product, too, and other than a couple of .pdf files we found little. However, an industry ally told us to get the phone number from the site and call a guy named Dan at x2213 for specs and other tech info (such as interfaces they currently have, etc.)... looks like they...

Top plenum's all over the map and has been up and down since November. We heard it was because of supply and demand during plenum price fluctuations. The last plenum 5e we got was $117/1000'...
