Thanks... That's what I had it pegged down too, but wasn't 100% sure. Although the <-> is a new one. I haven't seen it.
John.. The 39XX phones have a an application key and if the phones have CLS=STSA, they are able to set a message up that will be sent to the calling phone, such as, "OUT TO...
Periodically I will see a ( * ) on the LCD display after a callers name. The caller is local with in the same PBX and calls me via a 4-digit extension. Has anyone seen this or knows what the ( * ) represents?
I have seen this with networked PRI type calls, but this is local within the switch.
As mentioned, CRT is a great inexpensive program using the Rlogin protocol and you don't need to setup any telnet servers to use it.
In additon, a programm called ZOC by Emtec.com is pretty good to and is under $100.00 its scripting is fairly simple and its easy to modify your existing Procomm...
The ring option is programmed at the telephone set, You need PBX administration rights to view/make changes in the phone system itself. Do you have access to the system?
Future... In the connection setup on CRT, put CPSID in the username field. Then wants the session connects to the PBX, you then use your level 1 or 2 username and password.
I have been using Procomm for several years and have many scripts built, so I hesitated in trying other emulators. However, lately I have been using a program called ZOC as much as my Procomm. It can log into the PBX over ethernet because it supports RLogin. The only issue is that ZOC uses old...

If you are not close by to the server running the OTM software, you could use a utility such as Microsoft's Uptime.exe to check the system remotely or your LAN.

John has some examples how to setup DDE at http://www.aspectscripting.com/
I am with Dixie... Use CRT with RLogin and you won't have any issues. In addition, ZOC works great too and lets you dial into systems too and run scripts like Procomm.
This particular one is a MCDN "Message Centre Directory Number". It is an ACD queue which has the Message Wait Centre (MWC) prompt set to YES.
I haven't ever tried outing one of these, but you may want to try changing the following and try to OUTing it.
MWC - NO
IVR - NO
RPRT - NO
You always...
John:
What type of script are you looking for? I have written quite a few procomm scripts that I don't use to much anymore because I have been using ZOC, because I can change my scripts to work over TCP/IP with the Rlogin protocol. Runs the scripts in about the 1/3 of time when doing a 100...
You can do that in LD 22 by either; If these do not populate any data for you, then look below.
REQ: PRT or REQ: PRT
TYPE: AUD TYPE: ADAN PHST
The AUDIT file is initiated in LD 17 within the password gate opener
* AUDT = YES (system then prompt SIZE maximum value is 1500 words)...
The Meridian PBX supports the RLogin protocal for TCP/IP. I use a terminal program called ZOC and CRT to access my switches. I prefer CRT most, but I use ZOC because you can still access the systems via modem or IP and ZOC utilizes scripts much like Procomm does and its easy to change my...
