Hi MadRiver,
You can set the SMTP mail size which limits emails (this only works on internet mail and not on local notes-notes traffic)
The setting is in the Server document and in the SMTP MTA section (the last option on the right side).
It will be set to 0 as default (which means no limit)...
Hi Rodin,
problem 1, make sure the file is not marked read-only.
It would have become read-only when it was written to CD.
Also, did he copy the ACL when he copied the mailfile?
problem 2, is he the only user having this problem?
what time shows when he composes a mail?...go to...
Hi Yod.
As long as you are an administrator it's no problem.
Just go into the Admin console File>Tools>Server Administration.
Select Certifiers>Certify ID File...
choose your certifier ID (enter password) then
select the ID to recertify...(think you need it's password too)

Hi Sandy,
The first thing that I would ensure is that Domino is running as a service on the NT server and that the server is logged onto the network (not just locally).
Also I would not install any service pack beyond 5.
There are also further Y2k hotfixes that you can apply on top of SP5...
what are you backing up?
If you have something running Like Lotus Domino Server, then you will find that BackExec will 'hang' when it comes to an open file.
Veritas produce various agents which allow backing up of open files, so see what it is that could have files open during backup.

Hi LoriV.
It can be done.
In your mailfile, highlight the mails you want to print.
Click File>Print.
Make sure it says 'selected documents' in the View Options and you are away !....Sorry ITpaul but Notes rules !
Jon
Hi,
the sent 'view' is not a folder, therefore you cannot 'move' documents from it, like you can with the inbox (which is a folder).
If you drag documents from the sent view it will simply create a 'link' in whichever folder you drag to.
It does not create a copy. It creates a link, meaning...
in notes 4.5 / 4.6, you high-light the mail in your inbox and click reply with history. This will not send a return receipt.
Don't know if it works on r5.
Jon
Hi Lamaar,
go to File-Tools-User Preferences.
Click the mail icon on the left.
Where it shows local address book, type in the names of the address books stored on your machine.
Ideally they should be in the notes\data directory, but if not just use the browse button to locate them.
Type ahead...
hi n93001 (nice name!)
1> double click the mail to put it in edit mode.
2> right click where you are going to start typing and select text properties.
3> choose the text font/colour/size.
4> click the long 'set permanent pen font' button in the bottom right corner of the box.
5> exit the...

SP6 tackles over 100 bugs and year 2000 problems.<br>
HOWEVER, on enterprise servers, the software introduces new problems, including system crashes and security flaws.<br>
The word is...don't install it unless it is to solve a problem addressed by SP6. Try to apply it on a test machine that has...
