Hi

I am running a Lotus Domino server version 4.6.1 and recently someone decided to try to send 40 megs of data through our servers (we are currently using modems to connect our other office servers) and want to know if there is way to set email attachment size limits. Any help would be appriciated!

Thanks!

Hi MadRiver,

You can set the SMTP mail size which limits emails (this only works on internet mail and not on local notes-notes traffic)
The setting is in the Server document and in the SMTP MTA section (the last option on the right side).
It will be set to 0 as default (which means no limit).
just type a figure in Kilobytes (1024 for 1meg etc)

hope this helps

Jono

I only use lotus notes R5 but imagine your release will have similar settings for this. In R5 you go to the server document and to the MTA'there you can specify the "Maximun outbound msg size" it says this exact frase
