How to prevent return receipts? 1

is there a way in lotus notes (r5) to prevent return receipts from being sent automatically? (netscape mess. has customizable sending of return receipts...does LN have such a capability?)

You can go into your ECL and deselect the ability to send mail. Then it should prompt you before sending - I hope.

Go into your ECl and deselct Ability to Send Email - this should do the trick.

in notes 4.5 / 4.6, you high-light the mail in your inbox and click reply with history. This will not send a return receipt.
Don't know if it works on r5.

I've found the ECL, but deselecting Ability to send mail doesn't work. Guess I'll have to write an agent that watches the ReturnReceipt field when new mail arrives. In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
