The switch and VAL board allows successful recording, but it will playback nothing. Seconds shows correctly in "list integrated xxxx". Existing announcements plays fine.

if you do a list trace on the trunk and in there it shows no name that means your carrier isn't sending you any ANI or the caller is calling from a number which doesn't have outbound caller id which is also programmed at the telco's end....usually if there's ANI info it will pass thru your VDN...
create another coverage path using 'add coverage n' should be your next one....ie 107, program it just like coverage path 106 and see if 107 works after 6 rings....if it does do a remove coverage 106 and just use 107. could be a corrupted entry in the coverage table i had that once....

I'm trying to install the VAL management tool (3.0.16) but it will not begin the installation with this error message:
"An unsupported version is detected, please install this current version or upgrade the current version" and exit the installer.
I have ASA installed on my notebook...

don't worry about harming service for now tbenton12, port network 1's connectivity to port network 2, 3, 4 & 5 is entirely ceased. You need to fix this quick.
Try to:
1- reset board 1d03 and do it 1 at a time to see if it fixes itself
2- list fibre and look at the counterpart where the other...
