Thanks both .
The modem is enabled (and has been operative for 8 years)
Just suddenly stopped working one day ,without any user invension.
And system has also been restarted .
Will try @MODEM DIS followed by a @MODEM ENABLE
just in case it magically starts working again .

Hi there !
I have struggled with this before .
If you have used tuneup utilities 2004

In registry:
HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\MemoryManagement
key :LargeSystemCache

I have ATI radeon grapics and in the advanced display
settings there is a rotation option to 180 degrees (witch becomes horizontally) .
This made the same thing happen for me.
Setting it back on landscape 0 rotation fixed it .
Check for something simular on the users graphic properties.

Example :
PELPI:DIR="1001",LIST=1,CHO=1,ANSPOS="1001",TIME=12,BSYCHO=2;
bsycho(busy choice) redirects to CHO 2 in the list when
anspos in CHO 1 is busy.
PELPI:DIR="1001",LIST=1,CHO=2,ANSPOS="1002",TIME=12;
Forgot !
To remove use
PELPE:DIR= ; ( removes all lists for the directory number )
or
PELPE:DIR= ,LIST=1,CHO=3; (remove one choice in the list #1)
or
PELPE:DIR= ,LIST=1; (remove list#1 if multiple lists is used)

Maybe the rerouting/alt.routing in MD A or B picks up the call since the time exceedes 30secs just on cho1&2.
Try to disable the SEL=X..... in MD A and B on the routes
involved .And the SIG=........X...(if eq=1 ).
