Either one (aut-msg-wait or message lamp ext) will not light properly if the button is created when the Audix system has a message waiting and has already sent the MWI-ON command to the mailbox.

It's called "outcalling"; and is set up as part of their COS on the Audix mailbox. You can either change their COS or change the COS settings on page 2 of the subscriber mailbox.

Make sure that there are not any messages waiting when the button is created on the station. Remove the message light, remove all message from the mailbox, re-add the message light, send a new message to the mailbox to test.

Dial the MOH port directly, using the FAC and the port. For the carrier, 01=A, 02=B, 03=C, etc. In my case, my MOH speed dial is

You can use an FAC and dial the MOH port, this will play the MOH through the phone speaker. I use this to test my MOH.
However, I still think that for an office-wide solution, the best answer is to pony up the money and get an over-head speaker system.

The command list survivable-processor will give you all of your LSP's and ESS's. The command list media-gateway will give you all of your media-gateways. In both commands, the field reg (Registered) will let you know if the LSP/ESS/MG is registered to the main site.
