I'm having trouble upgrading from ASA 4.0.12 to 5.0.11.
I can complete the upgrade, but my existing configuration file (persist.dat) becomes corrupt. I've tried replacing it with a saved copy and re-doing the upgrade, but nothing helps. I even tried completing the ASA/VAM 5 Service Pack 2...
Can anyone provide me with the specification for this Green Feature. It appears under "system-parameters special-applications", but there is nothing in the documents.
This is all I've been able to get from Avaya.. ..
SA8507 - Support H245 DTMF Tones
Currently, R11.2 load 111 and earlier...
Follow this link. They offer several products to record conversations by connecting directly to the handset and a PC. It works great, good luck. http://www.konexx.com/

The FPM Administration Window can't be found.
In AIM 1.3, I was able to set-up the collection and alerting parameters. The help screens talk about this in AIM 2.1, but the window does not exist. When I select FILE from the main screen the only option shown is EXIT.
Can anyone explain this...
When I try to initialize a particular site the following message is displayed in the log:
TYPE: ERR
USER: system
APP: DB
COMMENT: "Exit: Could not get Data Management Report Information. Read failed from switc"
What does this mean? I've tested and reset the login/asg on the PBX and if works...
JayNEC - Correct. But I should not need so many just to get tone resources in a port network. In my example, I would need four IPSI's in a dual-port network stack of five G650 carriers (two per PN in a critically reliable configuration). When you expand that example to 20 PN's the number is 40...
WLEONG - Correct. The 1-to-5 is correct. The trouble with using the TN744D is that it does not support call progress tone generation, system clocking or synchronization functions.
JAYMZWORLD - Correct.
The point was the PRICE. It's just wrong that Avaya says you can't use a TN2182B, forcing...
According to the documentation the TN2182C Global-Tone Clock is not supported in the G650. To get this functionality Avaya configures a TN2312BP IPSI circuit pack. And the latest Minimum Stockable, Usable, and Certifiable Vintages document says the TN2312BP is "required for G650 operation"...
Lostwages,
The non-Linux based Definity PBX's do not have customer available root-access logins. You can pay for root-access on the Linux-bases Media Servers. You'll have to sign a few liability waivers and follow a few rules (unauthorized 3rd party software, tripwire ativated, etc.). Avaya...
There are about 10-15 things that need to be coordinated with your new LEC (Verizon) to make this transition smooth. Focus on the details and testing.
-Get as much info from Verizon as possible. Circuit Number; Trunk group number for the B-channels and the D-channel; Route Index Number; Type...
aaahvaya,
I'm assuming that you have BCMS marked yes under the "display system-related customer-options" field. If yes and if you're concerned about keeping BCMS data outside the PBX then you really need to install the BCMR software (a seperate application) on a PC and it will stay connected to...
mickeydidit!
Thanks, but no help. I have gone through this and tried searching multiple ways but never find "users guide" only configuration type documents.
Thanks, WHCARon
AVGUY5,
You need to upgrade. DSA 1.5.6 is extremely old and you're missing lots of features and functionality that is available in the latest release 2.0.12 update 1.2.
Thanks, WHCARon
Hello,
Does anyone have a user's manual or guide for the various applications in the Integrated Management Suite 2.0/2.1? I've go all the configuration guides, but can't find anything specifc to using the product. For example, details on what the various alarm reporting options are in FPM; How...
Blueline,
Another issue you may have is having more than one Intuity associated with the PBX. If your G3V9 is an R, then no problem. The G3r (and S8700) can have multiple Intuities assigned. If it's anything else then you can't set up a seperate hunt group.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, WHCARon
Avaya just gave us this response:
VAL MGR 1.3 is unfortunately not compatible with CM2.0. Your best bet is to upgrade to Voice Announcement Manager (VAM) 2.1 which was just release a couple weeks ago. This will ensure that you have compatability with both CM2.0 and CM2.1

I'm running VAL Manager 1.3.5 U1.1 to manage announcements at 17 different sites. All but 2 are running CM1.3. The 2 odd sites are running CM2.0. The problem is VAL Manager fails to update VAL information on the CM2.0 sites. Both sites return an error message about an invalid entry in...
CWJR,
There is really no reason not to route everything. Let the local exchange carrier or your long distance carrier return the "non-working number" recording if the user dials an invalid area code (there is no cost). My ARS ANALYSIS table looks for a specific 11-digit string starting with 1X...
PBXmann,
With two vm systems you'll need to set-up two hunt groups, two comm links, two comm processor interfaces, etc. Each vm system has a unique node number.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, WHCARon
kristiandg & SF0751,
Can you send me some detials about the EC500 promotion you're talking about. All our upgrades to MultiVantage and now Communications Manager included only 5 RTU ports for EC500. None included RTU up to the port count on the PBX.
Whatever you can provide would be...
