Definity Site Admin not showing text in browser

Anybody have an inkling why the browser window in my DSA (version 1.5.6) shows only icons on a white background? Thought I fixed the problem by editing the registry (changing the dword for the general bar top non-zero). This worked once, restarted DSA and the nice gray background with words and icons was gone again.
Any thoughts?

You need to upgrade. DSA 1.5.6 is extremely old and you're missing lots of features and functionality that is available in the latest release 2.0.12 update 1.2.
