Recording calls on ProLogix

Hello! I have inherited a ProLogix system, and was wondering if it is set up to record calls. Can the system do this itself, and if so, how would I tell if it is set up to do so? If not, is there a specific auxiliary unit I should be looking for?

The system itself can not do the recording. It could be done using an external device such as a call logger of some sort, or possibly through the voicemail.

Can you be more specific about the type of call recording you're wanting to do? Such as every call, just random agent call, etc.
 
I'm looking to do random agent recording, and it would need to be "on the fly", so to speak. Also, my customer service manager wants to be able to record any call she is currently on, but not necessarily every call. We have an audix system...does this have the recording capabilities?

What version of Prologix and Audix(Intuity?) do u have?

The Prologix is version 11. This may be a terribly amusing/annoying question, but how does one tell what the audix version is?
 
For Intuity software version, login is as 'sa'

It takes awhile for it to do this.

And in the pbx, do 'display com link' and see if there is a link for audix.
 
Follow this link. They offer several products to record conversations by connecting directly to the handset and a PC. It works great, good luck.

There's a cheap device @ MetrolineDirect for allowing your user to record calls to their station (when they choose) to their PC. I've never used it before....
 
Thanks everyone for the links/directions. My voicemail system is Audix LX R1.0. If we are able to do it through voicemail, that would be ideal. Otherwise I will look into those other devices.

thread690-987696 talks about a "audix-rec button", but it appears that U need newer software to use that feature.
