Bugs on analog lines can *sometimes* be detected. Bugs on digital lines are impossible to detect.
The FISA court that was created just to deal with this this type of scenario has been bypasses for "security" reasons despite the fact the court, records, and judges are all secret.
Even optical...
I am in the USA so I don't know off the top of my head. But it will be exactly the same distance as for an E1 since the ISDN-30 is CEPT E1 at Layer 1.
DO your searching with CEPT E1 instead of ISDN and I expect you will find something fairly easily.
However, to get back to your problem. You...
Hello Folks,
Not a lot of activity on this board. I am a weird case. I have a lifelong interest in Telephony and have taught myself a lot. I also have an audio background as well, having been involved in radio. I was very lucky to have had a job that used both these skillsets with a company...

Wow, AMI U interface! That is some early ISDN equipment!
You do realize you could use 2B1Q instead and it won't mater in the user-side of the NT1, yes.

Well, I am not an expert from the switch end of things, but I can answer some of your questions.
One DSL per subscriber.
Each DSL can, at least in theory, support up to 8 terminals. Not sure how this correlates exactly to TSPs, and most switches do not support 8 terminals.
In reality, in the...
There is also a 2500 version of this. It doesn't have a Touch Tone keypad ;)

The "interpetation" of the code (and the code is local, but may, and often does, include the National Electric Code (NEC)) is completely up to the "authority having jurisdiction" namely the inspector.
You may be able to get a second inspector to give an opinion, but odds are s/he will not want...
Read the stuff on the Sandman site.
Determine if the station is AM or FM (they will give a station ID near the top of the hour.
Determine if the problem is on the input side or the output side (disconnect the input from the paging amp and see if you still here it).
If it is on the input side...
IIRC 110 blocks are Cat.5e rates. I know that 66 blocks are not.
As far as splitting out pairs, I don't see the relevance to this thread. ?

Here is my off the cuff guess
The terminal has relatively short DTMF tones. Quite possibly they are within spec, but the knology device may not be built on the standard (most people engineering this stuff these days are pretty ignorant). Or you may find the duration is illegally short on the...
Are you sure other phones see it? I'd check that first!! Of course you probably have but...

Guys, s/he already said s/he wants to test including the signaling.
So Telnettech, what kind of signaling will you be using?
I know of nothing that can act like a min-PBX for a robbed bit T1.
If we are actually talking about a PRI, the Aurora PRI and Aurora Duet can both act like a mini PBX...
Mounatain bear is nearly correct. There is one better option.
Ideally you want to use 110 blocks to make the "splice" just as you would where Horizontal meets Vertical elements.
Next comes the plugs and through adaptor (all Cat5e of course and
Lastly a connector block with patch cables...
Each line will have different requirements for the phones, depending on how smart the phones are.
You may very well NOT be able to switch phones around.
Settings that may need to be set on each phone are
ISDN Type/Switch type: (5ESS Custom, DMS Custom, NI1, or NI1)
SPID1
SPID2
Do you have...
If you use a protocol analyzer you will get a cause code when a line is disconnected. But you would need to search through the raw data.
Some protocol analyzers will tell you if Layer 1 is dropped, but again it would be up to you to analyze the captured data.
What exactly are you trying to do...
IIRC the 8510 works on the 5ESS only and only supports the 5ESS "Custom" protocol which does not use SPIDs.
I may have additional info, but it would be out of state so I am afraid it might be a long wait.
Good luck.

Balanced twised pair or coax.
If twisted pair you should be fine. Remember that ISDN30 is simply E1/2MB at the physical layer

Are we talking PRI or BRI
Has your PBX been upgraded lately?
