Customer location has Nortel CICS. Voicemail type is unknown, i only have a grey box with a flash card.
Customer said that the voicemail worked just fine for years. They recently had a power outage and the voicemail started acting weird. By the time they called my company, the voicemail wasn't...
As far as i know, MOH is only available using a third party device that i plugged into the MOH jack on the processor board. YOu may need to find a service that will record your message as desired and get them to sell you all the equipment needed to make it work. There is no integrated MOH with...
Does anyone have a pinout diagram for the patch cord used to connect an ASU unit to a 3300 controller CIM port? I just used a factory cable to fix a customer issue, but need the pinout for the next time i don't have a factory cable on hand. Thanks
Check all the numbers. Inbound Trunk numbers that ring to station groups and what phones are in the groups. might unhook the line from the box and test with a buttset to see if the carrier is the problem.
Pc's will use the same LAN addressing as the phone system. you can leave DHCP disabled in the SL1100. you might be able to change part of the scheme via VLAN setup, but the 192.168 or 172whatever will have to stay the same.
Are you using DS phones or IP phones? are both pbx boxes on the same network scheme? if so, Spnet may not be necessary. Spnet is mainly for linking 2 systems over different providers or different locations that arent linked via fiber or VPN.
check the outlet its on. if thats good, maybe a bad proceessing card. would need replacement.
login to the system, save the db and default the system. if problem continues, then replace ksu
I purchased 2 dell poweredge 2850 rack servers from someone third party. My grandiose plans for them have fallen through, not to mention that i am not a Linux guy and don't have time to learn Linux Cent OS which is loaded onto both machines. I don't have the money to spend to upgrade the...
I bought 2 cisco items recently from an individual. I have a Cisco PIX501 firewall and a 48 port switch.(can't remember the model number right now)t
I want to make sure that both items have the latest firmware on them so i can use them for self teaching on how to use Cisco stuff. I am trying...
There is a side tone audio setup that you can do to help clear the issues. I don't remember the procedure, might be able to find it online. i also know a good old fashsioned reboot solves a lot of issues well. Might check your connections into the phone system. Make sure no shorts or bad pairs...
unfortunately, the equipment we were using in the configuration we had it, caller ID wasn't coming through even on the third and fourth ring. The call would get to the phone system and no caller ID would show. Turned out to be a bug in the firmware.
Or get a license for ACD functions and set it up so any calls that cannot be answered by the extensions go into an ACD call queue until they can be asnwered.
I agree with Joe. Do not go with hosted systems. I am a big fan of having PBX boxes on site. This way, if there is a service issue or a programming problem, you don't takedown a bunch of sites at the same time. And different sites can have calls route and be answered in a variety of ways if...
The problem we were having turned out to be a firmware issue with the interface device. Customer wanted the call to be picked up after 1 ring to route to the phone system. But caller ID wouldn't come in till the 4th ring. We had to get the manufacturer to write up a new firmware build which...
