I have an NEC SL1100 that is not playing well with ATT IPFlex. Trying to figure out where the problem really is. I have contest lines that are limited to six analog extensions. When a contest runs, The EdgeMarc device allows more than six calls on the PRI...thus some calls are getting lost. Bigger contests totally confuse the EdgeMarc and the whole PRI shuts down. These lines are set up in a busy-forward arrangement, with the sixth line rolling back to the first extension. EdgeMarc says the system is NOT sending a HOLD calls signal when the six lines are busy.... Thus it allows the 23-channels of the PRI to fill. Anyone have ideas on a better way to do this ??

Trash the PRI and go with either analog trunks or SIP trunks. And no more than you need.

Or get a license for ACD functions and set it up so any calls that cannot be answered by the extensions go into an ACD call queue until they can be asnwered.

You could set 22-11-08 "Maximum Number of Calls" on the DID for the contest line to 6 and that should return a busy. The default value is Zero which means No Limit.
