SL1100 VoIP & LAN sharing. Hi, Just wondering could we keep the default network settings for the IP phones as 172.16.x.x (there are so many system settings) while allowing user to access LAN 192.168.x.x from the connector at the bottom of the phone ? Where there is only one cable connection, but require both phone & PC. Thank you all in advance.

The second port on the back of the phone is for a PC (or other device) and it does not share the IP address of the phone. Just plug the PC into the phone and unless the phone is rebooting you will be connected through to the switch that the phone is plugged into. There is no programming required. If you can't connect it is likely an IP addressing issue. I would suspect something related to what is handling DHCP, or possibly that the phone may be on a separate LAN and there is no routing setup between the two. AS long as the phone is on and not rebooting it should work without you needing to do anything.

Pc's will use the same LAN addressing as the phone system. you can leave DHCP disabled in the SL1100. you might be able to change part of the scheme via VLAN setup, but the 192.168 or 172whatever will have to stay the same.
