Hi-
In the subject I provided info about our system. It has been in service for many years now. I need assistance on two items please.

1.) When our customers Press Option 1 or direct dial Ext. 450 to reach our customer service dispatch center, they go directly into a queue and they hear various messages in the VA (Voice Announcement) ie.(You're caller #3, blah blah)(There are 2 calls ahead of you) and so on. Our other office uses the same CIX670 but perhaps a new version of software. What I want that they have, is WHEN the customer calls into our auto attendant, They will usually press 1 for service, which transfers them to ext. 450 (Our ACD) Once they it answers, I want to have a personalized message Start Immediately so they HEAR this FIRST with instructions. Only after they hear this will they go into the queue or directly to a free agent. The comparison between our two systems seems to suggest a message recorded at 450 in the 1st slot of choices, but that slot is a recording saying they have reached us after hours. So, I need guidance where and how to make this happen. I still miss the Nortel which I was fluent on. Thank you to whomever can help.

2.) The DP-5000 Desk phone, Every call I answer, the volume needs to be turned up manually, but after the call it diverts back to default normal. So annoying. I found what I thought was the answer, but it was for the IP 5000 and not the DP 5000 phone. This involved pressing 3+6+9+HOLD... Then Redial. But that doesn't seem to work on the DP version. I just need to set my volume at highest db default.

Thanks - Barron

As far as i know, MOH is only available using a third party device that i plugged into the MOH jack on the processor board. YOu may need to find a service that will record your message as desired and get them to sell you all the equipment needed to make it work. There is no integrated MOH with the system. Again to my knowledge. If i am wrong,(I don't know the 670 very well) then it probably uploaded via a WAV file or something along those lines. Again, you need to ensure that the file is recorded to your specs beforehand and it is in the correct file format needed.

I have never been able to find a way to save the db level on a phone. My conversation on this subject with Toshiba tech support went something like this...

Me - "I am working on a CIX system. Customer wants to know if he can set the volume on his desk phone(digital extension) and have the handset use the same volume setting everytime."

Toshiba tech - "I wish there was.
