    I found the problem in case any one else has the same problem here is what was happening. My gpo was set to log-off anyone that was disconnected but not logged off for more than a day.     Two of the xp machines have norton anti-virus that contains internet worm protection. I have it disabled and still no go. The third xp machine does not have any other firewalls and does not work.
