please post mobo specs. have you reviewed trouble shooting faqs on the manufacturers website. have you gone into the bios to make sure the new HD is appearing properly

use disk management in the MMC right click ---> my computer -->> manage -->disk management --->fdisk/format the drive----> any data will be lost. assign new drive leter and your good, i think.

ethernet cams wouldnt plug into a NIC, they would plug into the DMZ port on your router or be plugged into your switch. you would prolly have to set up Port forwarding to get the video out.
