Hi,
I have to restore from tape which is expired but still visible on gui/not overwrited and they have physical protection on so no overwriting will be possible.
I scanned those tapes and Arcserve notified 58 sessions found etc. If I browse the tapes it says "No details found. Do you want to...
If MSSQL recovery model is set to simple, backup is always forced to full. What I learned from EMC Powerlink that 412 B incremental saveset is somekind of metadata and will always appear wit MSSQL backups.
Check your MSSQL recovery model. Allthough few times I have experienced that some SQL...
Also check out that you have some free disk space on disk you have the NW client installed. When NW makes a registry backup it will create image of windows registry to NW tmp-dir. It may require as much as 1GB of free space.
Remove the domain name from backup command, just put -a cisuq101. Did you create the client for this backup with virtual name cisuq101? Also is it working if you initiate backup from hostside with Networker User fo SQL?
You should put backup command like this: nsrsqlsv -a cisuq101. Add physical hosts to remote access list and give also username and password which has permissions to execute SQL backup.
Path is valid. Our SAP-systems are created like that. /oracle/XYZ/sapdatas are linked to the one huge filesystem like sapdataXYZ because of easier monitoring and space allocation. This is approved by SAP.
Also I checked the permissions from similar system which is behaving normally. All the...
Hi,
Environment:
Client:AIX 5.3+NW 7.22 client+NMSAP 3.0.2
Server: Solaris9+NW7.2.2
Full Online backup fails. Only Oracle controlfile is saved to tape. I am new to AIX systems. I have never encountered this problem with Solaris boxes. I initiated this backup manually from command line as...
Hi,
Environment:

Server: Solaris9+NW7.2.2
I have strange problem when backing up two SAP instances on same node. Backups are not inititiated on same time and command line backup with brarchive works fine. Same instance always fails with following...
We are using this directive:
<< / >>
+skip: *.data*
+skip: *.dbf
First skip skips all data files in the sapdata directories. Only directories are backed up. All the sap-systems have the same structure of datafiles:
for example /oracle/XXX/sapdata5/btabd_14/btabd.data14
Second skips...
Hi,
We are using host files and I have checked those several times. Also services are ok.
These backups were running normally like two months and suddenly started to fail. Strange thing is all SAP DB backups are succesful, so this problem only affects filesystem backups.
Also if there is hanging nsrmm processes this may happen. Those processes "lock" media database somehow and old volume records cannot be deleted from media database. Have you tried to relabel those volumes manually or remove them from indexes and media database?
Hi,
This problem started week ago. Before that backups were running normally without errors. All the SAP backups are running normally. Problem is on the both cluster nodes.
I have checked the normal "connection refused" checklist: Services, name resoluiton and ports but everything is as it...
I have problems with SYSTEM DB backups on 64 bit windows running on AMD. I know this is propably version issue as we have 7.2.2 server and these hosts has 7.3.2 client. We are planning to upgrade server but it is not possible right now.
Is it possible to create a directive which skips SYSTEM...
Well thanks for the info but this doesn't actually help because I don't know about these odd lines which your command gives as output:
/nsr/res/nsrdb/00/001e12a2000000000000000041d937b10a9d510a
/nsr/res/nsrdb/00/0612061f000000000000000042678a8c0a9d510a...
