We save many windows completly every days - save set All.
Usually, NW give this:
xxtp5:C:\ full 3508 MB 00:48:36 35050
xxtp5:D:\ full 24 GB 01:16:23 20956
xxtp5:SYSTEMSTATE:\ full 16 MB 00:05:16 18
xxtp5:SYSTEMDB:\ full 8184 KB 00:04:38 7
xxtp5:SYSTEMFILES:\ full 470 MB 00:13:44 2509
xxtp5:ASR:\

But this time, we have :
xxtp5:VSS SYSTEM BOOT:\ 3 retries attempted
xxktp5:VSS SYSTEM BOOT:\ save: VSS SYSTEM BOOT:\ is a VSS SYSTEM save set name and is invalid for use with this save operation; VSS is either disabled or a VSS license was not obtained.
and many messages like that .
Why ...

NW obviously recognizes that your client is a Windows 2003 node. For whatever reason, although you obviously not have a VSS license, it will try to run a VSS backup.

A case for support?

Hey - Check out the NetWorker Admin guide for Windows... I'm remember something about disabling VSS saves by using adding a command string in the client profile.

Good Luck!

On the client profile Miscellaneus tab there is save operations box. Put VSS:*=off to the box and VSS is OFF.
