It's been my experience that Netbackup requires proper DNS resolution before being able to connect to clients. Make sure that works from your master server first before troubleshooting the Netbackup portion.- I21st

Did you install anything from your cable company when you initally setup your connection? They may have originally had that in place and gotten rid of it.
