2000server network with mixed 2000/xp clients
I can access » at home with SBC DSL
At work I can not, I used to be able to.
I've tried changing DNS to other known DNS servers, I am the IT manager so I know we dont have any filtering software, no firewalls, nothing I can think of restricting access including lmhost, host files. Tried different browsers and different machines.
I've even tried plugging an XP laptop directly into our modem and still cant get to techimo.com
When I tracert techimo.com from work it times out.
When I tracert from home it works fine.
I did find a forum post that talks about RoadRunner people having problem a few weeks ago. »The only thing I can find of interest, has a blacklist page and theplanet.com the host for techimo.com has several bad listings.
Why would 2 different DSL accounts in the same city act differently. I've called SBC Indian Tech support, after 2 hours they finally passed me back to the US and got someone in networking, they cant helpme because our issue is with 1 website and they the technicians can access it fine.
After requesting a supervisor, I got a number for SBC people that handle Reverse DNS.
Any thing else I can check?
