1140e sets on IP office 9.0

I have an install with all 1140e sets. IP office is the latest 9.0 version. Problem is that I'm trying to put line buttons (Line 1 / Line 2 etc) on the sets, and they will not appear nor work. The customer has analog lines. Do the 1140e sets support the appearance of Lines on them. I've...

Ip office conferencing two held calls together

Well the formatting and recreating of the SD card and defaulting of the Pbx box seemed to do the trick. But only for a while and what a surprise, it's reared its ugly head again. Same symptons as before. Anyone have any ideas what to do short of bringing in a priest to perform an exorcism and...

Ip office conferencing two held calls together

The IPO was a previous release and the problem was there back then. Avaya said to upgrade it to 8.1.69. According to them, they were not aware of any issues with Pri conferencing/cross talk issues in the version this unit was and didn't mention any issues with that in the latest version...

Ip office conferencing two held calls together

Well after being on the phone with Avaya, it looks like I'm formatting and recreating the SD card and erasing/reloading the IPO firmware. Not sure if this is going to resolve it, but it will eliminate the possibility of a "flakey" SD card/firmware. Will update later if this resolves it...

Ip office conferencing two held calls together

I'm having issues with an IP Office (rel 8.1 (69)) with one Pri. The problem is that when one user puts their call on hold, and another user puts their call on hold, the two held calls are being connected until the user picks their call back up. This is a bit disturbing as the callers are...

Putting calls on hold with IP Office

I understand that park is the way to go, but some customers are stubborn. I showed them how to, but they say that because they are using the same existing T series sets, it "needs" to be the same as it was with the old BCM. Some customers are a just a pain. LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND...

Putting calls on hold with IP Office

Ok. New the world of IP Office. Just cutover a IP office 500 7.0. The system has 3 1416 sets and the rest of the 20+ sets are the T series Nortel sets. The problem is that when a call comes in, it simply states "external". The customer would like to know if that can be changed to state the...

BCM450 won't boot up after patch

I have a brand new BCM450 that I installed the latest patch (Su system 009) to and now the machine won't boot up. I can't connect in any manner to it and I tried to reset the machine via the reset button on the front and to no avail. Anyone else seen this? LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND...

    BCM50R3_FactoryImageUpgrade

I have a BCM50 rel 1 to rel 3 upgrade to perform. This will be my first one. According to the upgrade doc's, you need to load an patch "BCM50R3_FactoryImageUpgrade" into the machine after. It says to load it off of the Nortel website. Does any one know where it would be as I can't find it on the...

    Programming Outbound Transfer

By you're assessment of dialing '7', I can assume that you mean out of a user's mbox. Ensure that all the Callpilot ports (under voicemail DN's) have access to the proper line pool or route. If the v/m ports have no access to an outside line or channel, then you're outbound transfer won't work...

    BCM 3.7 Call Center Reporting

Just like Windows XP, make sure that the BCM is up to date with all of Nortels latest patches. LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND, WHICH IS WHY SOME PEOPLE APPEAR BRIGHT UNTIL YOU HEAR THEM SPEAK.

BCM 1000 3.6 Door Phone recognition

What biv343 said is true, they must be BST doorphones. Just to add one quick note is that once the doorphones are connected, you must reboot the BCM to ensure that the BCM recognizes them. Good Luck LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND, WHICH IS WHY SOME PEOPLE APPEAR BRIGHT UNTIL YOU HEAR THEM...

    BCM 400 + Wireless

Unless you are installing alot of IP sets and resources, I would stick with a 3/5 split. The 2/6 split is for a system with all IP applications (I do mean alot of them). For 90% of installs, the 3/5 split will suffice nicely. LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND, WHICH IS WHY SOME PEOPLE APPEAR...

Connecting with a i2004 from home

No problem AlquestTech. So does anyone know what a DMZ address is? I'm not network knowledgeable, but I do understand the difference between a static and dynamic IP addresses, but never an DMZ address. Thanks LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND, WHICH IS WHY SOME PEOPLE APPEAR BRIGHT UNTIL...

    Red Lights on BCM 1000

The fan just above the CPU is failing or non operational. I had this happen on a BCM 200 and a BCM 400. Since the fan over the main processor is not woring, the temperature of the chip is reaching as Nortel put it, a "thermal shutdown" point the BCM will cease to function. The motherboard (on...

Connecting with a i2004 from home

Not sure what happenned with my signature (not the original one I've been using for a while- I don't even know any conceited people). Anyway, AlquestTech are you being serious about "Demilitarized Zone"? And what does that have to do with BCM's? LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND, WHICH IS WHY...

    Setting up Night Service

You can set up company A (and their associated lines ) to one ring group and ringing service (eg Manual-company A) and company B to a second ring group and ringing service (eg Evening-company B). Just remember to set up a third ring group (with no ext's assigned to it) to ring on the other...

    Mac on BCM

Since Nortel (and most of the world) is now in bed with Microsoft, it will only work with Windows (2000 or XP). I hate conceited people that think they are a good as me!!!
